It's been how long now?
/Gosh, time flies when you’re not updating your blog…
In a bid to tidy up my website, I’ve been going back through all my posts since I launched Caked back in 2016. It’s an indulgent exercise and not one I recommend unless you’re in the right headspace for it. Cue lots of cringing and side-eying at both the things I wrote and the photos I posted.
That said, I think it’s important to show the journey and so I’ve kept most of the posts…for now.
Four years have passed since I last posted something on this blog. FOUR YEARS!
In my defence, it’s been a busy four years. A global pandemic, two house moves, 201 wedding cakes (yes, I counted!) and my own wedding. Not much time left for posting my cakey news.
That’s all set to change and when better to start than to announce that Caked has been selected as a regional finalist for The Wedding Industry Awards. I’m super chuffed and hugely thankful to all my lovely wedding couples from the last year who have voted for me.
Regional results are announced next month and I wish every finalist the very best of luck.
For now, a sobering exercise in seeing how far Caked has come. Here is my very first posted photo compared to one of my most recent. Still cringing (and thank goodness for professional photographers!).
