Geometric Lace Floral White Wedding Cake

It's still all about white wedding cakes this week. It's been a huge trend this year for cakes. Another big trend has been lace (continued from last year) and combining the two creates a stunning effect.

Adding some 3D floral effects accelerates us into the upcoming F/W 2016, with so many bridal designers adding delicate or dramatic floral flourishes to gowns. And this is something that can be easily translated into cake.

Here is my Geometric Lace Floral White Wedding Cake (a bit of a mouthful, I know. I will start naming cakes better one day).

The geometric piped royal icing lace gives this cake a more contemporary feel, and cascades all the way down the top tier and sweeps gradually onto the bottom tier. Large and small white floral details flutter down to rest on top.

Falling Petals - perfect for a White Wedding

I'm loving the current trend for completely white wedding cakes. There's something truly stunning about the simplicity of the single colour palette.

For a beautifully romantic cake, here's my latest Falling Petals design. Completely white, with an elegant bow belt (perfect if you're wedding dress features a belt) with delicate and whimsical petals floating down.

Sometimes it's all about stripping out the fuss, and focusing on a couple of beautiful details.
